Chisoku Lifestyle
Kishi-ke Bijutsu

Kishi-ke Bijutsu is the art division of Kishi-ke Co., Ltd. which operates a Japanese cultural experience ryokan in Kamakura, based on the Zen concept of Chisoku. The general manager is Hitomi Kishi. While we consider Japanese craftsmanship and culture to be precious, our aim is to blend them into modern life and make them known to the world and the future.
We provide graphic design, product design, concept making, and coordination based on the knowledge we gathered by working with the experts when creating the ryokan’s architecture, garden, interior design, tableware, food menu, and service’s offerings and forms.
We believe that tools made by Japanese craftsmen using Japan’s wonderful natural materials should not only be admired, but also used to their fullest potential. That is why we are using them in kishi-ke modern ryokan.
Each of our tools is not only beautiful, but also has a +fun factor in it.
